About the author:
Alan Salsbury is a retired police officer having served 36 years in the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. He has previously written and published history books in respect of the RNLI's Torbay, Plymouth, Exmouth and Teignmouth Lifeboat Stations. For some 10 years Alan has been a volunteer RNLI speaker, regularly giving presentations throughout Devon.
